Function
Bosch braking systems help enhance the safety of the vehicle occupants and improve driver convenience.
Systems are designed to safely bring the vehicle to a stop and help to minimize the stopping distance in emergency braking situations. To achieve this, all components must be aligned with each other and the vehicle.
Our portfolio ranges from individual components, such as brake boosters, brake master cylinders, drum and disc brakes as well as corner modules, to complete braking systems that integrate our brake control systems ABS and ESP®.
Brake booster
The booster amplifies the force applied by the driver’s foot when pressing the brake pedal and thus reduces the required effort. It is combined with the master cylinder to form a single unit and is a component of a car braking system. The two common designs of boosters are the vacuum booster and the hydraulic booster.
